This month, I had the pleasure of photographing an official bill-signing at the Governor’s Mansion in Denver. My friend and client, Rep. Jessie Danielson, had co-sponsored a bill allowing Colorado residents to collect rain on their own property.
For some reason (maybe because it was basically in plain English and applied to regular Joes like me) it became very popular, and the signing was a hot-ticket event.
Of course, you can’t bring up “barrels” without Gov. Hickenlooper bringing up beer. Love of beer, incidentally, is some of the common ground I share with both the Governor and the Representative.
Rain collecting becomes (officially) legal in Colorado in mid-August, 2016.
